Dixon Community Theater is lucky to have Tony James as our lead carpenter. His expertise in the construction industry and attention to detail has been demonstrated in the impressive and innovative set designs of shows like Arsenic and Old Lace, Alice's Wonderland, and Treasure Island. He is also responsible for event builds like the Alice's Wonderland float for the 2025 May Fair Parade!

Angi Wolf spent many years as a professional vocal artist who toured with her own band, sang for sitting governors, and performed in various theaters from Lincoln to Las Vegas. DCT is grateful to have had her as our resident youth theater vocal coach for shows like the Little Town of Christmas, Treasure Island, Alice's Wonderland, and Dixon's Great Big Little Christmas Show!

In 2023, Abel Cornejo took the initiative to revive the Dixon Community Theater, aiming to restore live, local performances in the city of Dixon. By December of that year, the newly established group collaborated with the Dixon Historical Society to present A Christmas Miracle in Dixon. This Dixon themed production took place at the annual tree lighting festivities in downtown Dixon, marking the beginning of the revitalized Dixon Community Theater's journey.
By early 2024, the organization had formed a board of directors and applied for nonprofit status. The initial board included Abel Cornejo, Sachi Denison-Woods, Richard Farshler, Robert Williams, Cheryl Sommers, Shauna Manina, and Kelly Pidgeon James. The group went on to perform Murder Mystery at the Dixon Manor, a full-length production written by Abel Cornejo and held at the McCune house, a historic property that had been painstakingly restored and provided the perfect backdrop for Abel's period comedy. After receiving glowing reviews, Dixon Community Theater decided to move forward with the next three productions: Dreamland, a play based on William Shakespear's A Midsummer Night's Dream, directed by Sachi Denison-Woods, Showstoppers, a one-night Broadway review coordinated by Kelly Pidgeon James, followed by the classic, Arsenic and Old Lace, directed by Cheryl Sommers. The final production of the 2024 season was the first youth play, The Little Town of Christmas, directed by Kelly Pidgeon James, and held at Tremont Elementary School.
