Dixon Community Theater stands as a vibrant cultural hub that dynamically engages with its community through a plethora of initiatives designed to foster connection and creativity. By participating in local events such as outdoor performances and seasonal festivals, the theater invites residents of all ages to celebrate the arts together. Its outreach extends to schools, where it partners with students for classes and trainings, and with PTO's to support school festivals and events. Furthermore, the theater takes pride in visiting retirement communities, bringing joy and entertainment to seniors through tailored performances. This commitment to inclusivity and community enrichment not only enriches the cultural fabric of the area but also ensures that the magic of theater is accessible to everyone. Dixon Community Theater is proud to be an active member of the Dixon Chamber of Commerce and enjoys participating in the numerous exciting local events it sponsors. Among these events are the annual Trunk or Treat celebration on Halloween held in the Chamber parking lot and our continued involvement in the Dixon May Fair Parade, along with many more. Dixon Community Theater is committed to nurturing a lifelong appreciation for creativity and artistic expression in children by providing them with access to the performing arts. We recognize the vital role that early exposure to the arts can play in a child's development, and we strive to make our programs available to the community. Whenever possible, we actively participate in school events and local festivals to demonstrate our support for Dixon’s educational institutions while reaching out to families. Through these efforts, we aim to create lasting connections between the theater and the community, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to explore their creativity.
