Villains - Benefit Concert for dixon community theater

Dixon Community Theater is excited to welcome Barrett Shepherd back to the Dixon stage. He first performed in Dixon in the classic comedy Arsenic and Old Lace in 2024. He and his talented wife Emily Jo, played the lovestruck Mortimer Brewster and Elaine Harper. Their natural chemistry made the production a hit with the audience. We are excited to see these two talented individuals return to our stage in Cinderella and are thrilled to see Barrett showcase his vocal talents in Villains.

 Amaralyn recently graduated from UC Berkeley with a BA in PoliSci with minors in Spanish and Journalism. She’s been performing in the Sacramento area since she was four and you might have seen her last month in The Little Mermaid (Ursula) at The Woodland Opera House. Previous shows include Young Frankenstein (Elizabeth), Something Rotten! (Bea) and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. We are honored to now have Amaralyn share her voice with us in Villains.

Nathan is VERY excited to make his Dixon debut in such a memorable event.  He has gotten used to being cast as “the bad guy” and was most recently seen as Frollo in DMTC’s production of “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” who Nathan described as the most multi-layered and most challenging bad guy he’s ever had the opportunity to perform.  Nathan likes to say that “every show needs a good bad guy” and is honored to be amongst the wide and talented range of villains in this event. 

Nikki (she/her) is an actress & singer from the San Francisco Bay Area. Last December, she originated Belle in the world premiere of Ebenezer Scrooge at Contra Costa Civic Theatre. Recent credits include Countess Andrenyi (Murder on the Orient Express), Grace Farrell (Annie), Elizabeth Bennet (Pride & Prejudice), and the chorus of Jane Eyre at the Lincoln Center. Other shows include Beauty & the Beast, Jekyll & Hyde, and Sweeney Todd. She trains in voice with Kelly Burge & Henry Torres and is coached by Ashley Loren. Alex began performing at the age of 12 when he was cast as Friedrich von Trapp in The Sound of Music. Since then, he has appeared in numerous community and professional productions, among his favorites are playing the Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz, Marius in Les Misérables, and Maximillian in Candide. Alex has also lent his voice to various Disney projects over the years. Playing Prince Topher has been a lifelong dream; at just seven years old he watched Paolo Montalban perform the role opposite Brandy and was instantly inspired. Being able to bring this character to life now is both surreal and deeply meaningful. Alex would like to thank his friends and family for their constant support, especially his wife, and the wonderful team at Dixon Community Theater. 

Rodney Chaney is an accomplished vocal artist who most recently has starred in fabulous shows on the Woodland Opera House stage. including A Christmas Carol where his portrayal of The Ghost of Christmas present left everyone tapping their feet and filled with the Christmas spirit. Dixon Community Theater is thrilled to have Rodney debut his voice in Dixon during Villains, and we can't wait to see him return in Cinderella!

Amanda Bistolfo is not only an exemplary vocal performer, but she is also the current musical director for the upcoming DCT production of Cinderella. Onstage appearances include Cassie in A Chorus Line at the Rocklin Community Theater, Hodel and Fruma Sarah in Fiddler on the Roof at the Lincoln Community Theater, and many more. We are so appreciative of Amanda's contributions to Cinderella and Villains and cannot wait to see her on the stage.

John Evans is another alumnus of the iconic Woodland Opera House where he recently played Fred and performed "Christmas Together" in their holiday production of A Christmas Carol. His performance received rave reviews, and John will no doubt find equal applause from the Dixon audiences when he performs in Villains, and again when he returns as Sebastian in Dixon Community Theater's upcoming spring musical, Cinderella!

Angi Wolf is an amazingly talented singer who has been on the Dixon stage many times. Most recently she appeared in Dixon's Great Big Little Christmas Show and before that she starred as the unforgettable Queen of Hearts in Alice's Wonderland. Angi also dedicates her time and shares her musical talents through her position as the DCT youth theater vocal coach.  We are thrilled to have her back again in Villains!

Ella Del Favero is a performer with years of experience in musical theater, show choir, and vocal jazz. She was most recently onstage as Janis in Mean Girls at Davis High School, and other past roles include Jemilla in Firebringer and Ruth in The Pirates of Penzance Jr. Currently, she sings with the vocal jazz ensemble at American River College and is music directing A Tribute To Tony Fields at DSHS. 

Stevie is so excited to be a part of this show. He has not done anything like this before and can't wait to show you one of his favorite villain songs. By day he works at the Sunshine Sensory Gym in Woodland and is a full time student at WCC. By night he does theatre, you may have seen him recently in Legally Blonde the Musical at DMTC or Sunset Blvd at DMTC. He would like to dedicate this performance to those trying to get their foot in the door of the theatre world. If anyone can do it, it's you. Don't give up. 

Samaria is making her Dixon Community Theatre debut in Villains. And she is a massive deal. Her most recent roles include Frankie in Voice Of the Prairie (California Volunteer Theater) and Celia in Shakespeare’s As You Like It (California Volunteer Theatre). Samaria studied Writing at Sacramento State where she earned her M.A. in Professional Writing. Her first published novella, Weekly Wake, can be found at  https://a.co/d/05GHotd3  

 When not on stage, Samaria can be found buried under a mountain of essays, grading papers. All praise goes to her beloved friend, Lydia, for adding color to her otherwise grey weekends 

Miller Traum is a senior in high school in Davis. A veteran of more than three dozen productions in the greater region, you may have seen him as Conrad Birdie in Bye Bye Birdie at Davis Senior High School, or more recently as Beetlejuice at Woodland Opera House or Micsha Bachinski in SideCar Theater’s production of Ride The Cyclone. When not acting or singing, he enjoys skateboarding, hanging out with friends, making music with his band and helping out with his parents’ cat rescue (shout out to Socks Dixon). He also sends a special thanks to energy drinks for keeping him alive. 

 Anna Butcher is a passionate performer who has been on stage since she was a child. From dance and singing to acting, Anna has always loved bringing stories to life through performance. She has performed both on land and on ice, embracing every opportunity to express herself creatively. Originally from West Virginia, Anna continues to grow as an artist while pursuing her love for the performing arts. She hopes to continue her journey in dance and acting throughout college and beyond. She is very excited to be a part of this production and share the magic with you! 

Kalysta Fuller is pleased to make their debut at Dixon Community Theater and is excited to finally play a villain! Most recently, Kalysta performed as Ensemble/Harem Dancer in Sunset Boulevard at DMTC and as Fate 3 in Hadestown: Teen Edition at The Stage Place Community Performing Arts. They have also performed frequently at Woodland Opera House and DMTC, including roles such as Amanda Thripp in Matilda Jr., the All Good Gifts Dancer in Godspell Jr., a Snow Dancer in Frozen Jr., and Greta in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Kalysta attends Natomas Performing and Fine Arts Academy. When not performing—which is almost never—they enjoy singing, dancing, and creating art.

Jayalyn Leary is excited to be performing the Cell Block Tango and has been loving being a villain with her cast mates! You can see her in the upcoming production of Rodger and Hammerstein’s Cinderella here at the Dixon Community Theatre, where she will be part of the ensemble after 8 years of not performing. She is grateful to Anna and Bella for including her and choreographing this song; and proud of  Kelly, Katrina, and Bailey for working so hard! She’s also thankful to her family and boyfriend for encouraging her every day. Hope you enjoy! 

 Kelly is thrilled to be a “Villain” alongside such talented performers. She has had a blast getting ready for the show! She is currently busy rehearsing for “Cinderella” with the Dixon Community Theater. She enjoyed portraying the evil seductress “The Countess” in “The House of Frankenstein” production earlier this year. Originally from the beach in Southern California she grew up singing and dancing and attending musical theater. She is a botanist and enjoys that she gets to hike in remote areas for a living. Katrina Butcher has been passionate about acting since childhood, with experience in both stage productions and film acting training. She brings versatility and dedication to her work, along with the focus and discipline she’s developed through ice skating.Now a senior in high school, Katrina looks forward to continuing her acting journey in college and beyond, eager to grow and explore new opportunities in both theater and film.
